why not

Last night was fun ... I had a late start 'coz of rehearsals for DSD ... AND ... I had to drag scorpiojerm kicking and screaming to Why Not with me ... thanks, hon ... my best friend will do anything for me ... heheh ... it was the first time I stepped into the club since 02 ... last time was with bleusty and husband (who wanted to go home at midnight 'coz he was sleepy!) ... it was the same night (also at Why Not) that Alfian asked me to be the LD for a new play he was writing - the sequel to "Asian Boys".

The music was really cool ... and no, they do NOT play "handbag", its called hi-energy vocals ... in the half hour we were there, the DJ played Mariah, Jennifer, Pink, and Gwen ... I like!!  The cover was $8 (we exchanged raised eyebrows at the door) ... the crowd was very different from Happy ... more collegiate ... three of my students came to say hi (I always suspected one of them was a quah ... the other two confirm lor!) ... Jerm thought Why Not kinda reminded him of Funky in Taipei ... except there was no cha cha-ing ... anyway we headed back to Happy and Princess Anne - I would have liked to stay longer - but Mr I'm-married-and-monogamously-coupled was getting a bit uncomfortable at all the attention he was getting from the kiddies ... whatever!

Well I know where I wanna go next weekend!
